BUT IF YOU REALLY MUST..., download the trial version of nero from their website. the version that you can download is actually the full version, but you need to buy it to unlock all of the features. go to somewhere like www.astalavista.com and find the cd key crack, then you will have the fully functional version.

but still, k3b rips nero a new -------.

not if you use linux . if you want, go download knoppix linux ver 3.4 from http://www.knopper.net/knoppix-mirrors/index-en.html

its a bootable cd with all kinds of dope *** programs on it, k3b being one of them. you are going to need two cdroms if you want to burn anything though, because of the fact that it is a live cd environment(the entire operating system runs live from the cd, and if you take out the cd to burn something the system will freeze). or you could just install a linux distro to hard drive, then you would only need one cdrom .

if you are not comfortable trying something new, just do what i said with the nero.

You can DL a trial version of DVD Clone here - http://www.clonedvd.net/download.html

Not sure if there are any limitations on it.

Also, if you just want the movie and want to loose the extras, you can use DVD Shrink, and then burn the files it creates to DVD using any of the popular burning software.

I use DVD shrink to pull just the movie off the original DVD, then burn the files to DVD using Nero. That allows me to shrink a fat dual-layer DVD down to fit on a regular DVD-R. It also allows me to keep the movie in a file set on my hard drive, burning as many "backups" as I want.

Nah... DVD Shrink is the ----. Just go to www.afterdawn.com, go to the software downloads section. It rips and compresses the dvd, and then you can use whatever program you want to burn it (as the material is no longer copyrighted).
