hey guys one of my frineds wants me to make a downpipe for his HF manifold/ 14B turbo set up, anwyasy i've made downpipes before but i've always had the ccar here, i noticed on your cars that you guys basically made a downpipe outta just two 90 degree's ( technically) i have a jig motor i can moutn eveyrthing on, wat i really need to know is, whhere on the oil pan should i aim for the 2.5 inch pipe to be ? i asked jon at drop shop and he said as close to the oil pan as possible, and aroudn the hook area, is tis correcft ? anyoen with tihs experience of making dp's without the car being there ? i know i can make him a DP, i jusut dont wanan make it, and then find out i was half an inc hoff and have to correct it. blah !

 

yup, just aim it just like the stock location of the factory downpipe. Tucked as close as you can to the pan. For a perfect fit, you should have the ball flange welded on after the downpipe/turbo has already been installed so it doesnt put a funny angle on it.
