my dad works at an aluminum company and has made all my adaptor plates for me.. i was wondering how well a all aluminum exhaust manifold would work.. how think would it need to bee.. thanks

 

HMT used to have a pic of an aluminium adapter plate, with a BIG *** whole melted in the side....

 

If your EGT's get a bit high, the aluminum will more than likly melt.

Can it be done? possibly... factory heads are cast aluminum.

thats not a hole thats a wastegate!

 

It will work for NA headers but not for turbo. the melting point is way too low. even 6061 t6 which is pretty sturdy material melts at aroung 1200 deg.

you might be able to make a cool intake header - no seriously, I'm making one myself.

 

then technically it should be called an Exhaust Manifold
