as many of you know i had a "tranny" problem with my 91 hatchy the other day, well today i finally got my car dug out of the snow, and got it in my garage, i jack the car up, and look for damage on the tranny and i notice the pass. axel is sticking out if the tranny by like a half inch, so i take off the hub, and pull the axel, i look at the teeth on the end of it and they are all good, so ijam the axel back in, adn bolt every thing up drop the car and it werked?i guess when the chitons repair manuel says to replace the clips on the end of the axel, they mean it LOL well anyway i didnt put a new one on it so it will prolly happen again, but if so i know the problem LOL

I lost one of mine in the dirt, so I had to rig one... It was tough getting the axle in, but no problems (cept I tore the boot, ah).

 

haha, cool!

last weekend I did an EX brake upgrade on my HF, and afte test driving, one of my axles popped out... I ---- a brick thinking I split my diff!

i've never replaced those clips. I just always make sure the axle is popped into the trans real good. you'll hear it pop when it goes in.
