Default Chipped/Broken Fin.

Hi. My turbo has a chiped/broken fin. It is only 1 fin. Is this a really bad thing. I am running 5 psi. It is a TE04H. Will this hurt anything.?

Is it on the car now? A chipped fin will throw off the balance. Remember that thing is spinning at like 60-100K rpms, any shift in its balance is going to throw off the harmonics. I'd replace the wheel if I were you and have it rebalanced.

^^^ agreed. I have ran chipped turbos, but it's not healthy. It will be off balance and probably won't last long.

Is there something I can do to fix the problem. Is there a Fin thing I can use from a diffrent one to make it better? I am new to turbos and am sorry if that is a dumb question. Thanks for the answers.

Well, you could replace the "fin thingy" but you will still need to get it balanced.
