Default question thats been bothering me... slow from 1000-2,000rpms

Okay when i start to go from a stop from 1000 - 2000 rpms its slow as hell.. like just normal acceleration its like its in slow motion... once it gets pass 2000rpm its fine and goes up like normal... what could this be?

-its NOT that i'm running too rich cuz i can adjust it so i'm running lean and it still does it.

Could it be that i'm TOO retarded for timing? or is it cuz the turbo itself is a huge restriction (IHI RHB5)?? let me know what you think!

maybe turbo lag has something to do with it or the fact that ITS 2000RPMS!!!!!

If your car's not in boost, it has to suck up air all the way through the intercooler and piping right?

Its a bit normal to have a softer bottom end after turboing <3000. But from the way you describe it, it sounds like a timing issue. If you do a 2nd gear WOT roll-on from down low, and the car seems to lag and then just 'snap' into power, that seems like timing. Its amazing at how sensative the engine is to WOT timing changes at <3500rpm. Its is a general rule that you can add 2-4* from 1500-3500ish (assuming your running TE2.0 or Uberdata...etc..). I have played with this area of timing alot, and there are some gains to be made.
Whats your setup? What ECU? Whats your timing at idle?

when i punch it, it goes faster like n/a but its just when i'm driving normal and just go to take off from a stop...

IF this was timing issues.. that would mean the timing is retarded too much correct? if so better than advanced

and cap immah whoop your ***!

ahhh, its part throttle. I assumed you were at WOT. Hmmm, wierd.
Whats your entire setup fuel wise?

dsm 450cc injectors, V-AFC.. stock pump, stock fuel rai, stock FPR.. now that i've drove it around a bit, its just cuz its a restriction i believe, its not as slow from 1000-2000 as i thought it was.
