I know a few of you use TD04 14bs and have probably gotten them with either missing studs or just one stud on the turbine/exhaust hosuing...my question is what alternatives have you used rather than shell out for new studs(which I can't find for less than $50/set)...I don't wanna just go out to Home Depot(which I plan to do this week) and search the bolt/nuts section IF there is a special "high heat" bolt I should use?? or should I just fork over for the real DSM studs and nuts?? Thanks for any suggestions

 

Home Depot isnt going to have that, Go to a local Nut/Bolt supply store, every major city has them. Maybe look in the phone book under Fasteners? etc.. Bring the housing to them and I bet they will have something for less than 5 dollars. We have a local shop (tacoma screw) who has just about any damn metric/custom nut/bolt.

Btw, you dont have to run studs, you can just use normal bolts. I usually take the studs out.

 

i went to my local ace hardware to find the bolts. i just used regular bolts. no high heat ----. its holding up. and ive been boosted for like a month already. u should be okay with regular bolts. good luck finding that bolt
