What do you guys think about this manifold for 250?
Its an obx, im sure theyre not the best product out there but just how good are they? Is 250 for this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...403882837&rd=1 a rip off?

Is $300 for a brand new spearco 25x6x3 front mount ic good? I want something long, slender and boxy and this seems to fit the like. Similar products for less?
Ok last inquiry, and this ones a TOTALLY annoying n00b question. Ok I want like ungodly quick spool on my b16 setup, and only 5 psi max so i dont pop the motor (ill be running a vafc too). Im sure i could go more boost stock but dont want to.
question is, what would be the cheapest and abundant turbo that is hella small that would work great for my wants. anybody got something for sale?

the manifold looks sweet but with 3 days left it'll go higher....you could get a custom intercooler from tyrus (who made jeff's) for less than the spearco, or use a starion....as for the turbo id use a 14b from a ig dsm since they are plentiful , but there are many choices
That manifold is pretty decent, the manufactor of that manifold is located in china I belive, they sell the exact manifold to 3 companys.. spark racing/type r racing/OBX all the same manifold. I have only heard of a few cases of they developing some small cracks around the flange. But that could just be early manifolds..

is it good? thats up to you, if you dont feel like you are getting ripped off, and you are happy with the product, dont worry about it. I personally like "Smoking deals" I am a very competitive shopper. All the big brand name intercoolers are big bucks, that's just the way it is.
A incredibly fast spooling turbo for the b16a.. I am just guessing here, but I think the 14b would work ok on the b16a. Why? it spools pretty decently on D-series, and has plenty of top end. On a B-series its going to react a bit different, spool time dropped alot, It would be very similar to a RHB5 on a ZC.. Pulls hard at the bottom, and possilby not as hard as it could at the top end (since b16a's normally make their peak HP at 7800 +)
but it should work. I think T3/T4's are great turbos for B16's

I was thinking about a t3, I just dont know. too many options gah. you know lots more about turbos then me so when you say "I like t3's on b16's" its like gah! what to do?

Could I go 6 sure, 7 sure, 10 maybe, but I just reaalllllyyy dont wanna ---- up my motor with all the money spent on it, just because I'm doing my first fi work. Im not a pro at the vafc either so id have to trust whatever dyno I use to help me set it correctly to give enough fuel.

One TD04-9B from a stealth R/T prob. makes 5psi at 1100RPMS, its the smallest damn turbo I've seen on ANY CAR !! I had a TD04L from a daytona turbo that looked A LOT BIGGER !!
Its one of the main reasons 3/S cars don't get much respect, despite the block that can handle well over 600AWHP.. The 3/S motor actually has a better VE than the supra, but still no respect b/c of those POS factory turbos. Plus everyone is scared to work on them...

I've seen those manifolds on ebay and wondered about them too. I emailed the guy to see if he could get any for mitsu turbos. At the time I didn't realize they were OBX and I thought he was custom making them. He told me to buy one and change the flange......umm.....NO....
If I'm going to pay that much I'm not going to go through the pain of trying to change the flange out.
