No boost again. I drove my car 5 hours to get the hondata tuned. THe shop doing told me that I had either a cracked head or blown head gasket because it was overheating. But it was fine when I drove it there.SEcond, they said it was burning major oil. I told them that the old turbo blew a seal on the compressor side which put about a quart of oil in the intercooler. Anyway, I brought it back to the shop, took the head off and had it sent in to see if there was something wrong. THe head is perfect and the gasket was fine. I think they told me that because they a 2 pm appointment for the dyno on a different car, they started the pulls at 10 on my car. I know one of the guys that works there has been on this site, he mentioned something about this site. What do you guys think. I am thinking about ordering a GSR motor swap soon.

 

Is it overheating now or no, there is other things that chould be wrong besides blown head gasket or the head being warped, and what ? are u asking us, are u asking if they are jerking ya around, they probly are, alot of speed shops are full of ---- and just wanna take ur money

 

no it is not overheating when I drive it. They are probably screwing me over. NOw I am waiting for the new haed gasket to arrive. The one thing that puzzled me was, they could not find the timing marks, which would explain the rough idle, at that time I had the hondata in the car, which they made the base map for me. I installed my other ecu and the timing was damn near perfect.

 

A bad base-timing would screw up more than just your idle. Good luck figuring it out. Im having some odd ---- happening with my car that sounds kinda similar to yours, but its intermittent. Sometimes the car runs perfect, other times it runs hot and just wont make boost. its weird.
