OK,new question, I have an autometer gauge, and it says to hook one of the wires up to my ignition switch, how and where do I do that?

 

Are you talking about where your stock fuel pressure sensor is? (the little idiot light sensor?). If thats where your going to install the oil pressure guage sensor, then no, you won't get oil all over the place. Maybe a drop or two, but you'll be fine

 

So you can install the feed line without draining the oil first?

 

Of course As long as the engine isn't running while your trying to install it, you'll be fine.

 

dont forget the BSP or BSPT or whatever to NPT adapter

Use a volt meter or a test light meter and find a power wire that only gives out 12v when ignition is on. If you're not sure, then tap it on the power cord of the cigarret lighter

 

ever install a radio? u have a constant and an accessory wire think about it for a moment

using the volt meter will find u a source closer to where your working tho
