B16 waterpump problems! HELP!
well, i bought a new waterpump for my b16a swap in my crx. i bought it for the 94' del sol vtec. i take everything off and then i realize the del vtec one isnt the right one, i was shocked cuz hasport says it is. so i call up the shop that did my swap and i asked them what was up. they said it matters what year your b16 is. if the delsol vtec one isnt right, then you have to buy one for a GS-R. now if this is true.....what year gs-r do i buy it for? 92-94? thanks for any info!

hey i had the same problem with mines. i bought it for a delsol vtec but it didnt fit either( and the engine is a obd1 b16). but when i went to advance autoparts. they looked it up on the computer and give found the part for me. even showed me the picture so i would know if its the right one.. autozone. didnt have the right one..so i suggest going to advance autoparts.

Hrm.. Maybe when they thought you said "VTec" they meant the SOHC VTec.. which, of course, is also 1.6 litres. This is a normal conversation with an Auto PArts store..

"Yep, we've got it in stock and it's over priced as usual, will that be cash check or charge?"
I'm sure they thought it was the SOHC VTec instead of the mighty B.
Not that they would know what a B series is over a D series anyway. I can't stand talking to auto parts stores.
