Default Aftermarket IntakeManifold

This is a general question about manifolds. Most aftermarket IM's that one sees it is difficult to tell whether all the regular junk that bolts onto the oem system bolts onto the aftermarket one.

Case in point. If I were to scrap my D16A1 IM and found one like the one below where do I plug the EICV and all the other parts? Or how do you compensate for them not being there as the ECU would probably throw numerous codes. JS

In case you want to get one of these it's only $3000.00. And no I didn't put too many zeros in! I only used it as it demonstrates my point.

An intake manifold should be the least of your worries when your trying to build a fast turbo car. There is soo much other ---- that is better to spend your money on *built bottom end* and the fact that you want to use all the stock sensors says that you probably want to run a close to stock fuel management setup.

And you have to be a dumbass to spend $3000 on a ------- intake manifold. Its not like the manifold is going to give you massive power gains. Don't waste your money...

projekteg and BoosTedZSix,
Thanks, that's basically all I needed to know as the pitures on any sites don't show the back side or advise if they do take all the oem stuff.

If you read the remarks under the picture you will see I only used this picture as an example and a very expensive one at that.

Just for interest I'm putting a D16A1 into my Austin Mini and space is at a premium. I will need to either use a smaller IM, modify mine or possibly use throttle bodies. JS
