Default drain hose

i was working on my setup last night and the only hose i could find for the oil drain was dishwasher hose. Its pretty thick stuff, what are you guys using? Anyone every try this?

for your oil return? i'm not sure that dishwasher hose could stand the heat if anything, go to the auto parts store and get some of the thick high pressure fi hose. it's only a couple bucks a foot.

actually dish washers use hot water so it might work.. lmao.. call a home depot and ask what the temp ratings are! haha

yeah, i was thinking about the hot water, but i know the water at my house doesn't get 400°f

ill try to find some 5/8 fuel line tonight. the dishwasher hose looks just like raditor hose, its reinforced and everything like that.

just spend the money and get some ss braided hoses. it will save you in the long run from worrying about melting anything. a freind of mine had a 2003 wrx and the rubber return line rubbed against the block and melted it and drained the oil out of the car in a matter of minutes. all of a sudden some not so good stuff happened, and not to mention those motors are not cheap. see if that was ss it wouldnt of melted. so just dish out the 40 bux and get the stuff that wont break
