Okay hows this setup sound to you guys.. let me know if theres anything else i need to do or should do:

-Weisco 8.8:1 pistons w/rings - D16y8 ($439)
-Eagle Rods - says just Honda D16 rods ($369)
-Darton Sleeve Kit D16 - maybe something different? ($559)
-Block Guard 1.5/1.6 Hi-flow ($99)

i'll most likely get ARP bolts for everything also

i dont think you'll need a blockguard with the sleeves

 

 

 

sounds like you forgot the 500 dollar assembly. bearings, rings ect. it adds up fast.

 

sleeved block with labor = 800 plus

 

lose the block guard you dont need that

 

i spent a grand on internals you better believe imhavin it prof assembled. over all it costed me around 2000 for my block to be finished

 

new water pump
timing belt
new oil pump
new gasket set (incl. head gasket)
new bearings
new head studs
rings
new rod bolts
machine work
shipping
etc.
it won't be as cheap as you think, the big things are the cheap things, it's all the little stuff that adds up quick and kills you.
