.20 over on d series sleeves
Would machining a zc.20 over significatly effect anything strenth wise. Its boosted, just getting new internals and need to machine my cylender walls becasue they are not in the best shape. there are streeks up and down the walls on #2 and 3.Thrust bearings are hurting i guess. there is more pressure in the crankcase then normal and did a headgasket last weekend. well anyway will .20 over hurt strenth noticbly at all?
I think it would be best if you went the minimum amount that cleans up the bores. I went .10 over only because that's what size my pistons are. If you have any scratches deeper than .10 over, I think you have a big problem. Anyway, keep as much as you can that cleans up the bores. You can do .20 over, but ideally you want to keep as much sleeve as you can.
not sure what your asking, but I think your asking if .10 over = .25 over. It does. I haven't figured out the math on that yet, but that's how they do it.
(They are different values that mean the same thing. I think one is mm and the other is something else, or something like that, but if you want to order "10 over" bearings, you would order .25 over.
