Default long oil return line

the oil return line is sort of long on my civic. i was told that if its to long the car will smoke. it smokes a little just driving normal and a little more when i get on it. my friend said to shorten it and that may take care of it. if not then ill have to get a new oil pan and move the drian. any one know anything about that?

lol, as long as you admit it.

Do you have any pics of the drain? As long as it doesn't have any kinks and it doesn't have any horizontal spots it should be fine. What size is it?

Not sure if your using my kit, but I include 14" of drain hose, which usually gets cut almost in half. If you have stainless line, it's best to put some kind of tape around it and cut right through the tape with something that spins really fast. FYI.
