Ok my car goes in monday for the exhasut shop to make the downpipe and 3" Exhasut to a 3" thermal Muffler. I am really pressed for cash and it is costing me 200 to get this done.

my question is Do I need a flange or flex joint after the down pipe. I noticed a few installs here don't have any sort of that. Is this essential or can it be done without? or done without for a month then added later when money is available?

Well it depends how the DP hooks to the exhaust, if you are going to use "ball socket" type flanges with spring bolts you should be fine. Otherwise I would say get a flex piece installed. If you dont have something to flex in your exhaust, its very easy that the DP will crack/break or something else will get damaged from the motor moving.

okos just the 3 bolt triangle flangethingy with the springs? i think it might be cheaper to get fledx pipe caue thats prolly like 45 bucks at an exhasut shop...

looking for nice sounding loud as ---- exhasut. im open header right now so it cant be louder then that !

 

the try flange is not a ball socket type, so spring bolts are not going to do ----..

Get the flex pipe..

No, ---- the resonator, and ---- the cat... Trust me, you will like it, The turbo is a damn muffler, hah

haha ya cause the muff lookslike seriously o restriction its got a few tiny *** holes which are flush with the inner pipe which I cant see it deadening soundbut whateva haha.

Ok I will got get a flex pipe what these things cost?

 

3" flex pipes arent cheap.
