Default RFL Fluttering WTF! Noo!

I just had the TurboXS RFL Type-H Ooodila what ever the ---- else is in the title put on my car.

We didn't have a gasket to seal it on the mount, so I used copper 888 compound and a piece of cardboard, I don't think its leaking air inbetween the intake pipe and BoV. But the ****** is just fluttering, and not making the full dump truck noise at any point of boost (I'm running upwards to 13 psi right now). And its driving me nuts.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Do I need to shorten the spring in there? or crush the valve a little?

No washers installed, I just read up a little bit about a guy having problems with his on his WRX. Said that the BOV would not open up until he reached 40% or more throttle and below that it was fluttering his turbo (causing the compression to return). He kept trying to shorten the spring but it kept making it require more and more boost to activate. I'm really wondering what the hell I can do because I don't want this ---- blowing air back into my turbo.

yeah I'm going to cut the spring and shorten it about an inch and see if it works. I think these BOVs were really designed for guys running minimums of 15 psi.

Doesn't the boost help over come the spring and more the piston along with vacuum sucking on the other side. If the spring is really stiff, it might require more boost to help push the piston open and overcome the spring? That's my guess.
