i bought an engine from a guy and i didn't get papers on it its a usdm engine any ideas how to check and see if its from a hacked car

 

who cares if its stolen. I'm not trying to be a jackass but really, you got it through a legal transaction, so you are covered. Don't worry about it, just throw it in your car and call it a day.

 

If you already bought the engine why worry now if it was stolen. the guy already has your money, and if it is stolen and you go to the dmv with the numbers, and try to make it legal they might take your engine. than your going to be assed out of your engine and your money. I bought an engine with no papers.

I personaly whouldnt buy a engine without the papers cuase i have got ---- stolen from me and i whould receive something i thought might be stolen or it was shady.

 

who cares if its stolen? back in florida (and i bet cali too) a cop WILL take your car and impound it these days without the proper paperwork.. they dont give a ---- if its another D series laying in there.

True dat. Yep, had a bud, who had his rex impounded cause of his stolen engine. So not too fun, what year did this engine come from and what is it?

I think you posted a question like this in one of the other forums, I don't care to check, but also how much did you pay?

 

I understand your moral thought here but... theres really nothing you can do now... what would you do, give it back?

 

just scratch out the serial number on the engine.
