Anyone run nitrous on a stock motor?
i was stock on a b18b spraying 120 shot with cold plugs and retarded timing. kinda scarry when you hear your valves pinging. then i knew i had to go down to 75. and kept the factory timing.
I am running a 50 shot on my 93EX with 120,000. I have a throttle body,intake,and header with a full exhaust. I started with a 35 shot which was really weak. 50 is descent but i could use a hole lot more. That's why i am going with a turbo also.I want to see how long the motor will last.
I ran a 155K mile D15b2 on a 75 shot for about a year. 9 bottles and it never even smoked... The engine never broke, pulled it out to put a D16Z6 in, the D15b2 is still sitting by my shed...
Then again, my other friend had a much cleaner, better maintained, and newer CRX Si that cracked a pistons like a **** on the second bottle, but he isn't/wasn't smart about timing, plugs, and tuning....
anything less than a 75 and I'd suggest the dry zex kit.
Also it was a totally stock D15b2 with stock exhuast and it ran 15.1@89mph with a slipping 155k mile clutch, I'd expect much faster out of a D16A6 CRX
