NEED some help on audi intercooler

If i pop off the black end tanks and get some spearco end tanks. can they be welded on??
anybody ever did this.

they can.. it is prolly more trouble than it is worth, unless you plan to run high boost, but then why would you have an audi intercooler?

The Audio IC has a nice core for a use with a FMIC, like in Dan's CRX. IT looks great.

I don't know about getting Spearco tanks. The guys at the machine shop I use are making custom tanks for it.

Depends on what you want I guess. But, ya, front mount style can be welded to it.

spearco tanks wont fit.
and yes, most any machine shop can have endtanks welded on,

$250 is cheap? Hrm..

My Audi A5000 Intercooler cost me $50 on eBay.

Side tanks fabricated and welded to the core: $75.

$125.. hrm, half price.

there new intecoolers too. do a search plenty of them are buy it now for 275

i got my audi intercooler for 30$ cdn.

endtanks can be custom done for about 75$

i saved the 75 and did my own thing. i really couldnt care what it looks like providing it does its job
