b16 dizzy need rebuild help

Default b16 dizzy need rebuild help

has anyone rebuilt a b16 distributor or any honda distributor for that matter before. mainly replacing the bearings. if so is there any tips you could throw out to me so i dont f*ck nothin up. and were can i get new bearing for the dizzy also..

if anyone has any info for me it would be apreciated

The Issue is that Honda does not want you to screw with your dizzy. They will not sell anything in the lower part of the dizzy and you must go to napa and spend the $300 fro a rebuild bottom half. It sucks, but suck it up

well the first thing is it isnt mine. and does napa sell a rebuilt non obd b16 distributor. if they do let me know it will get ordered. i get cost at napa anyways.
my friends car has been sittin in my garage for like 2 weeks now just sitting. and i was assuming if in the mean time of him lookin for a new dizzy i could posibly fix his old one then i would. i am still going to attemp it if nothing else just for some experience. i figure if someone can rebuild them then why cant i. i will just have to visit the bearing place and get em matched up.

and to suck it up and buy one isnt the problem money falls off trees when you need it but sometimes the parts arnt easily findable

True parts are a pain to find but i know that napa has one.. just a heads up i just got one less than 6 months ago

hrmmm well thank you. i should maybe go down to napa and make one of those fatt turds get off there buts and look for one instead of tellin me that they dont cary them...

Good luck finding that seal at the bottom of the distributor.. I looked all over for one.... never could find one!

well i havent gotten that far yet so i dont know about any seal. lol but im sure tommorow i will find it. thanks for the reply
