i was under heavy acceleration in 3rd gear (uphill if it matters), then i let off and start to brake and notice the oil and battery light on...0rpms ---- stalled. didnt hear anything break so i crank it over when i stop and it starts right back up and runs fine the block or to to my place...

what would cause this? it hasnt happened before. was it just running rich when i let off and just plain stalled out?

 

I really wouldnt worry about it

I could name 50 things it could be Dustin... and you could check every one and they would all be fine, sometimes cars do just "Stall" yes, even on Brand new cars that cost 40,000. Tons of varibles, what if it was just a bad batch of gas? you never know.

k, ture. and i wont even bother checking those 50 things. just need to check one..."is there a hole in the block?"

 

My ZC does the same exact thing. It even did it before I turboed it. My friend's 1g eclipse does the same thing and he claims that it has to do with his crushed BOV and lack of vacuum.
Are you using a different BOV?
I wouldn't worry about this until the car doesn't restart.

 

i use a 1st gen DSM BOV... DSM's stall when they you run an open BOV...
