Default Axles back in the Tranny?

I read before that there was to be a snap, i didnt hear one the axle lookes like it should go in another 1/4 to a 1/2 inch. The engine is in as well as the linkage. I never took apart the hubs or disc brakes. just lossened every thing up so i could pop the old axels out . What do i do to force them in??

are you talking about the snap ring on the end of the axle? on my civic I just turned my axle and it snapped in place, and on my prelude I pushed it in with my feet, held on to the controll arm, than pushed it in. some people I know hammer thm in with a block of wood, but be careful not to rip the cv boot. hope this helps
