The company that made my custom turbo manifold and downpipe strongly recommended this because of detonation. This is my first turbo project and iv leaned the most from you guys and i have never seen nor found a thread from my searches so i figured i would ask. He said to use this instead of the MSD BTM because its basically the same but the J&S will prevent all detonation. I looked it up and dont seem bad but would like some first hand users opinions.

I am running my B20A (JDM ACCORD Motor) with a Garrett T3 Super 60, 550cc RC Injectors, SAFC, MSD and was planning on BTM until i saw the J&S. Its gonna be a high boost setup so i want to make sure i dont blow up my built motor.

Rob the only problem with the J&S safe guard is that it has to wait for knock to occur to take any action. if you ask me thats a bad situation.

 

agreed, the btm should be plenty

 

you could use both if funds permit.

 

I guess that answers my question and i will stick to the BTM and look into adding a knock sensor since it was not on my year.
