Default LS/VTEC no low end power....help

well i finally got my LS/VTEC in, and i got it running.
i have a vacume leek, somewhere?,
car now idles up and down, up and down..........

yesterday sentra SER, (header intake, exhaust)
and i am happy to say i beat him, tie in first and early second, but late second i was gone, and third he was smoked.
so basically the first few days went OK.

last night i reseal the TB, and the reving was finally stable.

Today i drove it and the bottom end was GONE, no power,
the car had no power up to 4000 rpm then it would just kick in HARD, and the car runs find above 4k rpm.
and some times it back fires below 4k......this morning on the way to work i parked in a lot, and noticed the distributor bolts was a little loose, so i advanced it a little pass center, and tighen the bolt. and then the bottom end came back for a little, again it is gone...PLUS the idle is fu_ked up again, (up,down,up,down, MAX 2k rpm).

I dont wanny start tearing down shyt, just to find out it was just a little problem.

My performance setup
96 integra LS
00 GSR tranny
B18B block (stock block)
B16A head (milled, 2 layer gasket, 10.2:1 CR)
00 civic SI ECU (OBD2-1 to OBD2-2 adaptor harness)
stock header,
stock exhaust.
stock intake.

(i have yet to install the skunk2 manifold, and header, but first i need to get car running properly)

the b16 ECU is killing you engine, I'm running my LS VTEC with a P30, VAFC and 450's. I had to REALLY richen up my initial settings, I'm running between -27 to -22 through the rpm band. And by the way, it sucks the gas when you hit VTEC lobes.

I have the same problem with my single vtec. It feels like I have 10 hp till about 10-15mph then BAM! All hell brakes loose. I thought that it was my map sensor cuz it wasn't hooked up but I hooked it up and that just made it a little faster. I still have a hole down low. It is either too much fuel or something else.

I agree.. I bet you a wideband o2 on your car, and you would ---- your pants if you saw how lean your A/F's are.. get that ****** some more fuel, and tune it, I bet its just fine, its just needs to be tuned properly.

good luck,
Jeff
