tranny removal/installation
alright, i just had a quick question, is there an easy way or a "trick" to putting the tranny back on to the block? when i did my swap a while ago, it was a bitch to get the spline on the tranny line up correctly. i helped a friend out the other day and ran into the same problem. both times what i ended up doing was two people hold the tranny up to the block, and then someone turn the crank slowly until the go in? just wondering if there was an "easy" way??
aight, i was just wondering if there was a different way that i din't know about so that it would slide right on. if i remember *trying to visuasize* correctly, i think it's those dowel pins that made it difficult, or else you could just stick the spline in and turn it until it lines up, can you take the dowel pins out??
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has trouble with that. Trying to get a female to turn the crank while you are under the tranny wiggling it just doesn't seem to work.

grease those pins well.....and the shaft. that always works.......i tilt the motor towards the crank pullet. having it sit up right like that....i take the trans and use the tranny's own weight to push it on. works every time.
