Im new here to the art of DIY forced induction. As such, I have an idea to turbo a yanmar 3 cylinder diesel engine for use it some sort of offloading recreational vehicle. Any inputs/advice?

 

diesel is the easiest to turbocharge. unfortunetly it is also more expensive to turbo charge. the expensive part is going to be replacing the injectors with large injectors or having your injectors honed out to allow for more fuel flow. also if its a computer controlled injector then you also have to add tuning to that price.

It's not a car motor. It's a yanmar 3cyl diesel engine, like... From a lawn mower lol

 

sorry,i'm verry tired.....so all you need is a custom exhaust manifold,and a small turbocharger...is very easy to make this

Did Yanmar ever turbo charge this engine? Might could find all the OE parts or some of them to swap over.
