Hydrolocked engine

Default Hydrolocked engine

hydrolock my car last night.
compression reads 90-50-120-90..
won`t even start now.
anyway would hydrolock ---- up the block other than rod, pistons and bearings.or can i take it out and have it rebuild. got some 9.0 piston and rods in my house...
IF so..
my first HMT should be done in a few weeks..

when i hydrolocked mine, it blew a 6 in. hole in the front of cyl 1 and a 2 in hole in the back :P

Just finished tearing down a hydrolocked b16 a week ago, only damage was a snapped/twisted rod. Other than that, there was a small scratch at the bottom of the cylinder from debris.

well, got it off of a girl for $600, she wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Took the chance, spent the cash and got lucky.

i haven't even tore mine down yet, i can't get the ------- head bolts out but judging by the holes in the block, there's nothing in there i want to see :P

going to start take that ---- out today.
BTW by looking at the engine oil. there`s no coolent at all...
so hopefully the sleeve is ok...

anyone ever tried to take the engine out by just loose up all the mount leave the engine on the floor. and lift up the body?....with a jack only

the only way that would work would be to measure the engine from the top of the head to the bottom of the oil pan, if you jack can jack the front of your car up that high, then it will work, but you'll need another jack for the engine also, unless you gonna just let it slam on the floor
