Default Turbocharging a 350

Hey guys I'm pretty new to this I have a 1970 c10 i built a 350 for it's a mild build it's got around 9 to 1 compression and some forged speed pro pistons I am huge turbo fan I had a caliber srt4 and it was a blast and been hooked on turbos ever sence but to my main question is I'm wanting to do a cheep/ junk yard turbo setup I've read alot of posts on what fuel pressure to run an what size turbo I would need but I'm wondering if you can go to small with the turbo ( i know that's probably a unusual question ) will running a smaller turbo with a bigger ci engine hurt the turbo or anything I'm only wanting to run 5-7psi because I'm on stock rods just oem style head gasket and head bolts Ive been looking at the smaller turbos of cars like the t bird because there cheep. Any in put is greatly apreshiated

if your looking for low end torque and the engine will rarely see high rpm then a smaller turbo will be fine. one of those turbo's may be too small for a 350 so you may want to use two of them in a twin turbo application.

i just came across this while looking for parts myself.... :http://www.xs-power.com/gm-turbo-manifolds-3.htm

seems like a pretty decent part for a low-budget build. for the low boost you want to run, i think this would hold up just fine!

Good luck!,

yeah i hear ya man. im trying to find that out as well. im getting a newer silverado (02'-03'), and have got the turbo bug again. if you go on fullsizechevy.com, they have some good info. i have been on Ls1truck.com and they are running anywhere from 68mm to 76mm turbos over there ( on single turbo setups), i guess masterpower is one of the popular brands their running. maybe something you can look into.
