Default TO4B wheel in a T3 compressor housing

Ok so this is my second post and I`m hoping someone can shed some light on this. Now just so there is no confusion I`m not talking about a T3/T4 hybrid here I mean exactly what the title stated a T4 compressor wheel in a T3 housing. I understand this requires a certain amount of machining of the compressor housing to fit the big wheel and obviously a re-balance but has anyone on here done this and if so can you point me towards any information online? I've spent a fair bit of time looking for info but I cant find anything by googling it. Perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing. I've been talking to a guy about it and he'll supply me with a new housing and the new garret TO4B 50 trim wheel for $145, this seems like a reasonable deal for upgrading the flow of my (fresh rebuild) T3 60trim 60ar, 63ar hot.

Thanks,

Ted.

Your gong to face 2 problems when you slap a t4 compressor on a straight t3

A. The stage 1 turbine that comes on all standard t3's is just to small to flow anythng over 300hp.(if 300hp is your goal and you want to stick to the .63 A/R exhaust housing then go for it)

B.You need the matching backing plate, compressor and cover then have to have the turbo rebalanced and by the time you do all that you might has well bought a real used (non china) t3/t4
