ABS after OBD swap, insight please
After changing from an OBD2a P1K ecu to an OBD1 P06 (chipped/ostrich) my ABS light is on solid and the system doesn't work (skids). After a few questions and checks it seems apparent that the USDM 93 DX from which the ecu came from didn't have ABS, hence the solid light.
I need to know now what my options are. Surely there must be a way to keep the ABS after a swap. Have I chipped the wrong ECU? Is there a suitable OBD1 that has ABS AND was available in auto. Or can ABS circuitry be retrofitted to an ECU?
The car is a 98 MC1 Civic with the SOHC 16v non-Vtec D16B2 engine and AUTO S1LA trans.
Input will be much appreciated.
