Hello
Im new here obiviously lol.
But the reason i joined was because i want to build my own turbocharger and not have to shell out $3600 for a new one. My car is a 1999 v6 mustang. But im lookin to swap the engine out for a cobra NON-SVT motor and then turbo it. But if all else fails i might just build my own turbo for my v6 and be done with it.
So where do i start and what kind of research do i need to get started building a turbo? Also what kind of costs am i looking at to build a turbo charger?

welcome to the forum!!!
you will need to change out the exhaust valves.i would also change out the pistons to lower compression and be safe,also you will need a fuel pump that flows more than the one you have,make sure you get a wideband to watch A/F ratio's too.then you need to add a drainback tube to the oil pan from the turbo.im sure im forgetting more but someone will chime in
