Angry Need help turboing my 97 2.2l S10

i have suched this site for weeks(not on my sn) and the s10 forums. and i have not got a deffinite answer to how to or why i cant turbo my shitty inline 4. i tried bying a supercharger for the truck and wjnammer said it couldn't be done on a 97 wtf.

someone please help. i know turbos. i dont know the truck...

in a nutshell, because it is an OBD 2, and has GM's crummyassed non-unlockable ECU in it, reflashing it will be a bitch. You'll most liekly need standalone to get it to run right, but if you live in an area with emissions it will no longer pass.

if i ran super low boost and upgraded fuel system would that work im not looking for a race truck, im looking for somthing to help my truck get up hills

you could always do a 12:1 FMU. does it have port or TBI injection? if it has port, you could put in bigger injectors and an adjustable fel pressure regulator to lower the base pressure so it runs right out of boost.

i turbocharged my 98 s10 2.2 and it was fun. hp tuners supports the 97 s10 2.2 so tuning isnt the problem. a custom header will need to be made since the drivers side of the engine has too many obstructions. i mounted my turbo in front of the engine just ahead of the power steering pump. id be happy to help but you will need to custom make everything.
