im in the middle of a motor swap went to switch the vtec solenoid over and found a spring and i have no idea where it goes. It even could have been a coincidence that i found it at the same time but i dont think so, please help.

ok i should not have said vtec solenoid but rather vtec assembly like the whole unit from the head where the strainer screen is.

 

Are talking about valve springs?

 

realize the thread is old but on the assembly you have the vtec solenoid held down by 3 bolts take those off pull the round thing out and turn it upside down there is a whole rod that will fall down the spring goes on the bottom of that rod put it back together
