Question Jeep 4.0 L6 exhaust mani..??

I have a question which i wouldnt think would be much a problem but just want to make sure before i do.. i have a 98 jeep 4.0 L6 and im looking at pacesetter headers p# 70-1190.. Heres a link to view what they look like..

http://www.streetperformance.com/ART...03/70-1190.jpg

Instead off putting the collector i was wondering if i could run two separate pipes to make it a true dual and what would be any effects i would have from doing this or pros if any?? Help me out please

the collector is there to help with the scavenging effect of the exhaust. if you eliminate the 2-1 collector then your losing a lot of scavenging which leads to a loss of power. you can install cross tubes in the header if you really want to make dual exhaust. exhaust performance is a hit or miss when it comes to power so i would leave the engineering to a profressional.

ok i do plan on running an H pipe right when it comes under the cab.. itll be a short tube that connects before they split to driver and passenger side. I think but not sure if that will help with the scavenging..
DRIVER SIDE ==========
H-Pipe............................I I ENGIINE
PASSENGER==========

Bad looking design but from the headers down a lil split with h pipe..

i have a question on what to do with the o2 sensor... since im running the true dual with h pipe im not sure where to locate my upstream o2... i want to keep it a true dual but i have to have the o2 in a collector to read the air/fuel from all 6 cyl.. what would be a solution to this problem while keeping it a dual.. the downstream o2 its goin to set in the h-pipe to think theres a cat so i dont have a problem with that one...

Just for reference i have only two o2 sensor 98 Cherokee lim..

Haha i remeber the fix im adding the turbo by the end of this year so ill make an xpipe where the collector should be a place the 02 in the middle of that.. so i should be able to elimate the hpipe idea or keep it still need help with turbo if anyone can help me with some answers
