i went for a ride in my friends 95 civic jdm h22 swap (i know, i know...rice, waste of time, too much money, blah blah blah). its actually the first one i've ever seen in person. it was pretty fast. i would never take the time or money to do it, but it was still cool. anyone here run an h22?

 

ummm, how's it rice Thats far from rice unless your not telling us something about his aerodynamics? is he about to take off? anyways, a jdm h22 into a coupe or whatever is not rice.

 

besides, h22s are cheap, the only problem is fabricating the mounting hardware, which if you can fab your own turbo kit, shouldn't be too hard.

my friend is about to finish bulding hes h22 integra turbo.
But he is into the very very high budgets..

h22's are the worst motors honda ever built. they break too easily. I blew up one at psi. thats pretty sad, and it was running very conservative.

 

maybe you just got a bad one. H22A's are the 2nd best engines have made. The first are the s2000 engine. At least I mean the closed deck older h22a's. The newer ones are good but they arent made for turbo though.

 

how is an engine any good if it cant even handle eight pounds of boost? its just not. an hf motor will handle more boost than a ------ h22. which means even though it wont ever make as much power its still designed better in terms of the bottom end and piston design and sleeve material.
