man dis morning i turned up the boost on my EDEL kit
to about 15.5 psi and man i like it but i smoked my clutch racing my friend with a stock s-14 (nissan) and i have no traction all the way through and a big majority of 3rd gear looks like a six puck is going in.........

 

Must have been the stock clutch huh? You'll definately need to upgrade that to something like the six puck at 15 psi.

 

I am so pissed with the clutches I have bought. I have a 6 puck sprung clutchnet in there now with a Centerforce HD PP and the thing is slipping like crazy. I had an ACT organic with ACT HD PP and blew the PP, but I am happy with it because it didn't slip too much. The other one I had in there was a Dual Friction and the aforementioned Centerforce PP. The dual friction popped a spring after a few months.

I dropped the tranny 4 times in a 2 week span.
Once I get my clutchnet HD PP I'll be dropping it again. :P I have to wait a week on the PP because clutchnet is going to a show or something in Vegas this week and they have no time to make it?

Jesus that does suck :P. I need to find a good clutch setup for my car soon. I'm still not sure what to go with, but everyones experiences and opinions help, so I'll find the right one sooner or later.

 

Im a bit worried.... cause i have the Centerforce Dual Friction in my car.... and one day it started making a little rattling noise and I removed the tranny dust cover and a small peice of thin metal came out.... Is that how yours spring got fucked up?

It still grabs good and everything..... might pull it out rip out springs... and weld a peice of metal so its a solid disc....

 

can you do that anyways i also have a dual friction and i've had no problems and my friends that are turbo are using the same clutch with no problems even with slicks at 15psi.
