I found a rhb5 turbo probe in the yard last weekend and the guy said he would sell it for $125 buthe then said if I found on cheaper he'd beat the price.

So I'm going to pull some 1G DSM injectors(right?) a 1G BOV, the complete rhb5 assembly and a 1G intercooler and offer him $200 for the whole lot seeing as the turbo needs a rebuild at 180k miles and I cant get them for about 60 bucks anyway if I hunt on the internet...

Do es this sound like a fair deal and what else should I try to get while I out there? This is going on a mpfi swapped crx dx 1991.

I figure I'll need that stuff and and apexi safc, some gauges, and some charge pipes/exhaust and I'm really shooting for under $800.

 

also do I really need an afc and injector setup for such low boost? It's like 7psi TOPS on a d15b2.

 

If you can get everything for $200 I would do it, but not 125 for just the turbo. No you don't need tha afc injector hack for 7 psi, you could run an FMU with stock injectors, but as you might have read already elsewhere on this site, is not as great and will not let you control/tune the car as good as you could with an AFC. If you have the money, if it's in your budget do it, If not you can use the fmu setup but don't go pass 7psi or your engine might go BOOM.

 

thats the ihi turbo if im not mistaken and i think i got mine for klike 20 or 25 bucks in prefect shape no shaft play or cracks and u can pick up smic for cheap all the time,as far as injetors and bov if the bov comes with the pipe and falange i might give hime 90 bucks for both the bov and injectors get the clips STAY AWAY FROM THAT TURBO!!!!

 

I'd say $75 for injectors +$35 for BOV + $50 for busted *** turbo = $160 is a reasonable price.

 

i think those injectors fit in your pockets. one in each , just pay for the bov and ic.

exactly Plus $25 for the IC = $185 plus taxes around $200, if you can get everything for around $200 like I said before go for it, but nothing higher and definately not $125 for just the turbo.
