Default bye, bye clutch................hello new clutch :)

well i guess that didnt take very long. was driving around doing a little tuning and ---- and started to notice at about 6K rpms (i dont have a tach so im guessing) the engine started free reving a little (like jump up a couple 100rpms). it got a rest for about 1-2hours then i get on the freeway and its very apparnet that the clutch is slipping (but no smell). well its only been like 2 weeks turbo'ed (~9psi) on my LS motor and its already smoked the stock clutch

anyway, i would like some opinions on a good clutch to go with. so here is the deal:
90-91 Integra CABLE TRANNY
needs to be good for 300+hp 250+tq (at the wheels)
NO pucked clutches
and it needs to be streetable
also if you didnt already know im cheap

thanks guys for you input!

ACT XT/SS

thats gonna be the only thing that will hold that much, and be a non-puk style disc.. Its basically what I was running except I had a O.E Gsr clutch disc.

Lol, and didnt I say last week "Hows that clutch working out for ya?"

i burned up my clutch after about a week of 10psi so i know the feeling. im using a SPEC stage 2 and i got it for 285. feels great i think its even better than stock.you might need the stage 3 for 250trq. i dont think you want a woosy clutch though if your going to be runing that much power. just work out that left leg and youll be fine.

---- that was last week it was coo then, give it a shitload of 2nd and 3rd gear pulls and a couple burnouts (yeah not the smarted idea on a stock clutch).

doing a little searching on honda-tech and its looking like the XTSS has 100% user rating, BUT ACT's website says retail is: $567.00

anyone know a good place to get an ACT or give me the hook up

I am a keystone dealer and can find u some prices on the XT/SS clutch kit, i may be able to hook you up with a good HMT deal. lemme check

UPDATE:
i checked, the best i can do for you is $530.75 USD plus shipping...My supplier doesnt stock those clutches either so im not sure how long it would take before it got to you...3-4 weeks most likely, so it isn't really worth it. I'll keep looking, I'll check centerforce

They do have some amazing deals on Konig Holes and Konig Verdicts

UPDATE #2:
The Centerforce Dual Friction clutch kit (part#DF909807) will cost $492.84 USD plus shipping. They have this kit in stock and i could have it within 1-3 days.

well i hit up the local shops (if you know me then you know i dont like any of those ******* for may reasons, like promting rice). anyway i was all like "can i get the price on a clutch?...ACT XTSS..." dork: "umm, you really need that much clutch?!?!" me: "turbo LS, and i WILL be putting down 250+..." dork: "well then you need a XTSS!"

best i got was from MPR (More Power Racing), think he said 390 or something. BUT last time i bought clutch (also an ACT) from that turd i waited 2 weeks for something that "should be here in two days"
