They say its for midrange probably at the expense of top end power. That thing looks restrictive and if your into drag racing than who cares about midrange, you race in your top end

The spoon plate is a Venturi plate, which changes the way the airflow goes into the intake, Hondatas is just an insulated gasket, but I'm sure where all the spoon gasket gets is power is more from the heat exchange..

I'm using the street version an-r on my gsr head.
