Is there anyway I could check if my turbo is bad, cause my car been blowing out whiteish smoke through my exhaust, during startup and while boosting and I just recently had my head gasket and my valve stem seal change, so my last resort is my turbo gone bad. So my question is how do I check or test if my turbo is bad while still on the car b4 I start pulling everything apart? Any help would be appreciate ...thanks

 

See if there is any shaft play.

 

bro sounds like your headgasket went again... check shaft on cold side for any abnormal movement. a lil is not that bad but alot not good. look around the turbo is there any oil leaking around it?

you are positive its white on startup? no morning blues?

 

Probably the seal from the turbine side of the turbo is damaged, that cause the oil goes from the oil feed from the turbo directly to the exhaust side and to muffler that causes white smoke

 

yeah that happened to me too. the turbo seals are blown. needs a rebuild my man.
