Who's running a T3 .60/(.63 or .48) turbo? How's your 4th?
Im running a T3 SVO turbo. .60/.63 on my stock D16z6. My 1st-3rd gears are great, but as soon as I hit fourth, it seems pretty laggy and really slow. Even when I start to make boost, the car isn't as fast as it usually seems.
Why is this happening?! Am i running this turbo out of it's efficiency range? I truely thought this turbo would be too big and laggy, but would make killer topend power.
Also, it's not tuned yet, still on stock clutch, and @ 7psi. Any info or feedback would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

mmm, I would say that turbo is a bit too big for your engine. The clutch might have some effect on the lag also if it's slipping. Theres no vacuum leaks or boost leaks right?
ohhh damn, your probably ribght. I've got a .48 housing sitting on my other T3(but it's got blown seals) I think im gonna swap that thing out and put in the .48 and see how that works.
im also not tuned and running fairly conservative.
3 degree retard
93 octance
35% all the way across (running rich for safety)
and 2 step colder plugs

mine pulls pretty good in forth it seems, but i havent gotten much wheel time. its raining and i have no exhaust so im hesitent to get on it...
btw i will trade you a 48 for your 63

Problem fixed, timing was retarded too far, and my wastegate arm is too long and leaves the wastegate open partially causing a TON of lag in 4tgh.
4th now pulls AMAZING trhough in full boost
Also leaned to -38
