Default launching your boosted honda at the track

Well i just installed a turbo kit in my civic this weekend, and when i launch it on teh street there is absolutley no traction in first and second, but it feels liek it pulls really hard when it catches. So what do u guys do to get decent traction on street tires? im gonna be running it this sat. on kumho ecsta supras.

At the track people normally run slicks.. those CUMHO tires you have are going to smoke nicely, I have a set on my car, and can roast 1-2-3 easily. Dont be a idiot and pull your car in the water box and do a burnoff either, lots of people with street tires pull in the water box, and I could never understand why they do that with radials. You may want to drop the tire pressure down a bit, but it really isnt going to help much.

Slicks and LSD will be the only 2 things that will really help.

Do lots of practice before you go, I use to always take my girlfriend on a unused road, and do tons of practice launchs to really get the feel, and find out what rpm is best to launch at, and best to shift at.

ive spotted some luanch problems with my car. as i sort them out ill post my finding and solutions here so you huys can check them out. slicks are nice but they are making smaller drag radials and i think they could be useful.

Drag radials are good for one thing... street racing & thats it.. On the track they suck ***. If you want a good time, you need to get yourself a decently sized slick.

I have 3 sets of wheels, my street tires when I cruise... my drag radials when I street race... and my slicks when I race.
