Default removing a T3 from a 80's 300zx ?

the junkyard has one its been sitting for awhile
not sure on the exact year of the car but its a
mid 80's 300zx the turbo is super wedged between
the driver side engine bay wall, totally fugly to get to...

pretty much the only choice is to pull the whole engine
and take it off from there, do i really want to spend that
time on it?

option 2 buy a 180$ portable sawzall i've found online
and cut the driver side off the car and take it off easily.

any other options guys?

is there anything anyone wants off this car, i'll charge what the PnP charges + 15% +3$ shipping anywhere in the usa. ( i work at fedex i can ship anything for 3$, too bad i cant receave for that price)

you have to get to it from underneath..... what's the point of buying a 180 dollar sawzall plus the price of the turbo from the yard? you could buy a lot nicer turbo and not have to work to take it off

been under their cant ge to the bolts on the turbo. atleast not all of them, and its an excuse to buy a 500$ sawzall for 180 and the turbo is only 40$

Even if I worked at fedex, I'd still pay to send stuff UPS, hehe.. That's a low blow, but after my friends $2,800K "high nickel alloy" racing block was broke by fedex, then they broke my projectors too, I'll never use fedex for anything.

On the flip side, can you give the junkyard dudes a couple bucks ( or ask them ) to prop the car up on its side kinda so you can access the bottem...

I pulled one off before a while back. It's definetly one of the harder ones to get, but worth it. I remember removing or disconnecting the steering shaft. Also removing the cross over pipe. The manifold/turbo had to be disconnected from the head and moved around to get the bolts from under the car. It takes time, patience, and no sawzall.

The good news is its a .60 AR compressor on those, just like the T bird turbo. Almost like a small T3/T4. The bad news is the exhaust housing is a little wierd and hard to work with if I remember correctly, I might be thinking about the 240 SX turbo on the exhaust. Its a good turbo for a B18 motor and definetly worth $40.

The trim on it is very large and yes, the exhaust outlet/downpipe part is fugly. You definetly need to hack it off and weld your downpipe to it. I'll try to take some pics.

but a Nikota sawzall from Schuck's and warranty it out for your money back where you're done. Make sure it's an internal malfunction that doesn't destroy the case. Not all parts guys are as "understanding" as I am.

http://www.farestools.com/special.htm

please dont buy them all before i get a chance
this thing usually sales for 450$...

i need a portaball sawzall for rear fender flairs at the junkyard and hard to get turbo's...
and this junkyard wouldn't turn the car on the side for me... just imigine thou, if all that crappy engine bay was out of the way how easy it would be to take it off...

yes things brake alot at fedex, i am getting alot of stuff shipped to me, from people i have to tell them the RIGHT way to wrap things, people dont understand after 2000-3000 box's a night, we really really dont give a ---- for 9.50 a hour.
