Default turbo question...with pics

So I have had some different opinions, but I'm wondering which way is the correct way. In the first picture below there's a hose that runs from my w/g to the intake, this is the way my car is set up right now.
In the second picture it shows that the hose runs from the wastegate to the intake manifold. This is how my car was hooked up.
After changing from the way it was to the way it is, my boost gauge is reading differently. So my question is it better to run the hose the way it is in the first pic, or second pic? And why? Thanks

you will get a more accurate reading from the intake. Was your gauge reading lower on the intake and closer to the turbo higher Im guessing.

Most externally gated turbos have a small nipple on the outlet side for you to run your vacuum line to your wastegate. The reason is the wastegate will see more accurate and true boost from the actual turbo itself than what you tap on to at the intake manifold or break booster.. whatever. I'd run it right from the turbo to the wastegate.

also have to agree, some people even drill an tap there turbo and run a line from there to the wastgate.i think eclipse's j-pipes have a nipple on them stock to run to the wastegate.

On the eclipse T25 turbo, there is already a nipple there that goes to the wastegate. Better mitsu turbos like the 14b or 16g.. Not so sure, but would be easy to drill and tap.
