i havent been on here in awhile, but i feel that i have to post this. Paul Mumford, a privateer racer, is gone. Name sounds familiar right?? yeah, thats cause he was the winner o the 1st ultimate street car challenge. since then i have followed his racing. he was amazing. nothing stopped him. he beat all the big name sponsored teams with his self prepared and largely self funded dodge vipers (2). maybe people will, and have said "godspeed paul" i say something different. "paulspeed god" for nothing and no one was faster than PMUM

I heard the name before but anyone who can give the sponsored teams hell and be self funded deserves mad respect. sad to see another car god pass away R-I-P

 

he was such a cool guy, loved my hundreds. and i need to correct myself, he won the second ultimate stret car challenge, not the 1st. he would have done some serious winning next year, beating up on the factory audis and ----. i know ill miss him, heres a little link to let u guys really know who he was and what he was all about, the pic on the page is his viper that he won the ultimate street car challenge with.

his tuner went into the pits in one race puling all the tools that paul needed on a small kids wagon, (a socket set, some vice grips and two rolls of duct tape) and one the guys from one of the factory teams asked him with a laugh "is that all the tools you brought for your car"? he replied "when you are prepared, these are all the toosl you need" paul domintated that race.

we lost a great one guys.

How exactly did he pass away?

 

he radioed in that a fire had broken out on his private plane. both he and his co-driver passed away when they tried to execute an emergency landing.
