I'm thinking of getting this and welding on a dynomax or flowmaster, something cheap that won't be loud.

Does this setup sound like it will be loud? I just don't want it to sound farty and loud...

also, are 88-91 civic hatchback midpipes the same thing as a crx midpipe?

why dont you just buy a muffler and have an exhaust shop do the piping for you? you can pick any size piping you want, and its about the same price (or cheaper). just make sure that you go to a GOOD exhaust shop. ask people in your area where they got their exhaust done, and if they recommend that shop. i paid like $100 for dual exhaust piping, and it looks very clean. not only that, but i KNOW that it fits my car.

 

because I live in the redneck riviera. I've checked on prices and they give me some bunk about how since it's "custom" it'll take alot more "fabrication" and then they quote me at 500 bucks or some retarded ---- like that.

 

That looks like a fat waist of money and that guys feedback sucks ***. I had a complete exhaust built for about $200 at the only exhaust shop here in town. Tell that redneck ---- that you're not a dumbass and you know what a custom exhaust should cost.

If it has a resonator, the sound should be ok.
At least it's stainless and has a lifetime warranty.

 

Also, nobody in town can make mandrel bends, is 2.5 okay with crush bends? I'm not going to be boosting over 7 psi.

 

Damn, they don't make mandrel bends , I got mine made, mandrel bent 2.5" all the way from a cheap ebay cat converter to my ricey muffler for $120.
