My new car **PICS**
I just bought my 95 Acura Integra Special Edition for $2k. 180k miles, Original owner, all maintenance is up to date, timing belt, water pump, wires, spark plugs, etc..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So today I cleaned it up. After some simple green/degreaser, the engine bay looks pretty nice for having 180k miles.

While driving the car, I constantly smelled burning oil. I opened the hood and saw smoke coming off this area. I smelled it and surely enough it was the same smell. I couldn't really see what's going on because of the heat shield blocking the manifold. I assumed it's oil leaking/dripping onto the exhaust/catalytic converter??

Jacked the car up to see what could be the cause...and here it is. What do you guys think is causing that burning smell?

I also found out I am going to have to replace BOTH CV Axles

Just for ---- & giggles, I called a local mechanic to see how much to replace the Pressure Steering Hose & Both CV Axles. Do you think this price is fair?
LABOR ONLY:
Power steering pressure hose - 2 hours - $180 with tax.
Both CV Axles - $500.

whoa, just read the labor only part. The shop might be jacking up the labor because you're bringing your own parts...
i would do both axles for about $500 including parts at my shop. that's right off the top of my head, but if that's for labor only it's a little steep.
nice acura, lucky you found an obd1 car. they're few and far between out here

That's what I call "bone-stock". It looks like an OK deal on the price... but it's going to cost you another $500+ right off the bat. The interior is clean, and junkyard seats are cheap. I hope you're fine with it being an auto... kinda limits you on performance, no?
It's my 2nd car (aka project/beater) so it's not a big deal whether it's automatic or not.
So I took the exhaust off today to find where oil is leaking & burning off other than the oil pan gasket. Here are some pics, anyone have an idea?

What's the deal here? this is supposed to be Home Made Turbo, not "Oh look, I just bought a old honda with a leaky head gasket, and busted cv boots, and thought I'd bring it to show-n-tell".
I need to see pics of another old honda, like Kennedy needs another parade.
Tell me you've at least done some other post, where you've attempted putting a "cai" on a car.
