i'm debating to run more than 8psi... i was going to run 9 or so to compensate for my small turbo not able to provide enough at redline.. losing 2psi at redline so maybe if i boost 9 or 10 then i'll have 7-8.,,,,.. right now i got 6or so at redline, boost controller helps a bit but not much

 

It doesn't work like that.
if you car falls to 6 psi from 8psi, and you turn the boost to 25psi then your car is STILL going to fall down to 6psi by redline.

The stealth TT guys know this all too well. No matter how much boost ( even 20psi sometimes ) the factory TD04-9Bs ALWAYS fall down to around 10psi ( appox, some mods help ).

 

i run 10psi daily driven. as long as you're tuned you should be ok. be careful of spiking above though. what turbo you running again? i would think even a small turbo like an rhb5 would hold at least to redline.

 

I run 9psi untuned. D16z6. pulls hard and feels good. But i need some moderate tuning. Just can't seem to get a ------- downpipe made properly

 

thanks people, i might bump it up just a tee bit to 8.5 maybe 8.8, close to 9.... it spikes to 9 at times although set at 8...

too bad there isn't a boost controller that is CHEAP that can make the WG function normally at 3000-5500 rpm then just shut the damn gate at 5500 to redline.. im' sure it's sitll opening a bit... i don't belive the ihi rhb5 will not hold even 7psi at redline on my puny sohc 1.6

but damn, now at 8psi the tires really break loose in 1st....
